When it was first announced that they were making another Spider-Man movie, I was very skeptical. I mean, we just had 3, how many Spider-Mans does this world need anyways? But then, hearing people’s reviews convinced me to go see it today, and I must say, I actually really liked it. Maybe more than the first Spider-Man (which, in my opinion, was the only good one in that trilogy), and here’s why:
- andrew garfield is now one of my new favorites. he was okay in the social network, but now… i mean, just look at the picture. way better than tobey maguire.
- somehow they stuck to the same storyline as the first movie, but it was still new and different at the same time.
- semi-spoiler, but not really if you’ve seen the first movie: that part when the uncle dies always gets me. it’s just so darn sad. though i think it just may have been more sad in the first movie.
After watching it though, I really want to rewatch the first movie. It seems so long ago that it came out. One good thing about that one is it has James Franco in it. :) I just may go refresh my memory right now…
