Sorry, but these are actually the best pictures we have from the concert. We really didn’t get to take a bunch, mainly because we were so extremely hot, we didn’t want to do anything but sit and do absolutely nothing. The second day we were there, we waited around from about 8 AM until 5 PM in 90+ degree weather. We definitely weren’t as prepared as other people, so we made a little makeshift tent to give us shade, since the actual tent was burning up inside. We shut a sleeping bag in the trunk of our little VW beetle and hung it over two chairs, and just laid under there for probably 4 or 5 hours of the day, not doing anything else. We had so many snacks that we didn’t touch, and didn’t even take a picture of what most likely saved our lives that day.
But by the time we went to the concert, the sun was finally going down, and we got to see Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans, and Miranda Lambert. It was pretty awesome. I have seriously never seen so many people love country so much, especially here in Washington. That’s hard to find. So it was a lot of fun.
We’re definitely going to make this a tradition. But next time, we’ll be much more prepared. Bigger car, more friends, more food, tent for shade, games to kill time, speakers for music… that’s our list thus far. We tried taking notes from other people. Overall, it was great fun with great friends and great music. Country music FTW!
